Brooklyn

Ellis Lacey followed his sister, Rose’s plan to leave Ireland and find a better future and job in the US. She departs terribly, suffered along the way because of seasickness and a terrible relationship with her cabin neighbours. A kind traveller gave her advice to live in Brooklyn. She said that Brooklyn is a city where there are many Irish immigrants live. Ellis followed her advice to live there. Along with the time that passed by, she got a close connection with a priest- Father Flood, working at a department store, and started a relationship- even a private marriage with an Italian boy- Tony. But when she recieved a news that Rose has died, Ellis returned to her hometown, which possibly changed her mind about returning to Brooklyn- and stopped her relationship with Tony.
